 Vertical Pango

To whet your appetite for now:

All the code is in Pango HEAD and cairo master. All the details have got to wait until tomorrow. Took 36 hours of work. Better really sleep.

Comments:
Looks really great :)

Nice, I bet asian folks will love you for this one!

And in the future chinese spam-email will also look good in evolution ;-)

Best regards...

MacSlow

P.S. Behdad, you Captcha! looks weakly configured.

"Whet"!

:)

Awesomest!

I love it , thank you!

Thank you so much! It's just beautiful!

Good test case!

Nice, there is still a bug in inkscape when displaying vertical CJK, even with last stable glib/gtk+/pango and glibmm/gtkmm
The sinograms are spaced vertically by at least 20 space caracters. Have you got a clue ? The bug is very old.

scritch : Most of spam are in english first (even in France where lot of people don't undestand english), and secondary in japanese even french spam are less often than japanese one. taiwanese chinese (traditional chinese) are far behind and really rare and I never got mainland China simplified chinese spam.
