My Language is Bigger!

Reading hub's How to bash foolishly a programming language...:

First, the C one is not really C, it's C preprocessor. Oh, if that counts, it works in C++ too :-).

Anyway, my favorite fork trick (like everybody else's I guess) is the shell snippet: ":(){:|:};:"

My other favorite is "while(!fork());", also known as PID anonymizer.

Without the preprocessor, how do you get access to the standard library?

What is the shell one supposed to do? I couldn't make any sense of it myself, and bash rejected it with "syntax error near unexpected token `{:'".

Ok, you asked for it. The one that actually runs is: ":(){ :|:;};:"

But consider yourself warned. It doesn't take more than a second before you have no control whatsoever on your system...

What it does: it defines a function named ":" which runs two instances of itself in parallel (using the pipe) recursively. After defining the function, it runs it.
