 Persian Linux Project

I'd know when the Iranian governmental Persian Linux Project (link in Persian) sends requests for proposals. It's when multiple people send me emails on the same day about how they have become interested in this particular thing and they need my advice/help...

Comments:
That may be because you're so nice to people who come to you only when they need you.

It's common in the free software community itself. We usually talk nicely to outsiders with unknown (but possibly very dark) records but make it hell with friends with generally positive records who have a few stances we don't agree with.

Well, as long as you don't know much about somebody, you can deal with them peacefully, but if you see what don't want to see, you will give up sooner or later...

Anyway, I have tried hard to not let my personal relationship with people affect my technical/work experience with them. The thread and bug below should show that (ok, I was young and immature and got in a rude flamewar, but I did fix the bug for them):

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bna-linuxiran/2004-01/msg00012.html
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70064

Anyway, it's not like my "friends" did inform me about projects when asking for my help either...
