 Quick Post

Just a quick post that Behnam, my brother, has been hacking on gucharmap, fixing a lot of bugs. I probably should ask for a CVS account for him pretty soon. He has also put a little portal to his and my homepages, blogs, and flickr accounts.

Pango 1.10.2 stable released, but didn't hit the GNOME 2.12.2 release, since I only uploaded it to ftp.gtk.org, not GNOME's. Just got ssh access to gnome.org, so that shouldn't happen anymore.

More progress with Pango HEAD every other day. With the nice g_slice work that landed into glib, we will be converting a lot of g_new0?(.*, 1)'s to g_slice_new().

Had a lot of bad experience with customer services recently. Need some time to blog about them.

Comments:
So, all the awesome performance work you folks have been working on: what releases is it in, or should I expect it in?

The work so far is already in the developmental release pango-1.11.0. The final work will be in GNOME 2.14 release scheduled for March next year IIRC.
