Context-Free Grammers, Cool Applications

Cool reading from slashdot on students generating random papers that get accepted! They have released the source under GPL, with CVS and accepting patches an all. Another interesting one is the Context Free Desgin Grammar, though it's not anything new, but the examples are beautiful.

But the paper is accepted without being refereed. It was a conditional acceptance. The paper is just a bunch of technical words, and it is impossible to read it.

That's indeed the whole points. That these conferences accept (be it unreviewed, conditional, whatever) something like this. And there's no reason to believe they have reviewed acceptances at all.
